The Community Speed Watch team were in Pelton Parish today and this is their report.

We did three checks in your  area of Pelton today Wednesday 9 February 2022.
First we did opposite the church.
50 Vehicles passed..36 were 30 mph or less..7 were between 31 and 34 mph..7 were over 35 mph.
We then did near the car wash 50 Vehicles passed..39 were 30 mph or less..4 were between 31 and 34 mph…7 were over 35 mph.
Next we checked next to school leaving the village 25 vehicles ..22 were 30 mph or less..3 were between 31 and 34 mph..nil over 35 mph.
From today data we can advise that the Church and Car wash only needed 1 more vehicle over 35 mph for us to show as a speeding issue which would have triggered more action. But we must go by the data presented so no issue. We will come back at later date. You can share the data with public.
