Allotments Waiting List
There is an increasing demand for allotment plots as it becomes more popular to grow your own fruit and vegetables.
Allotment Waiting List Procedure-
Please contact the Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer on 07912688050 or clerk@peltonparishcouncil.gov.uk to be added to the waiting list.
When you are informed you are top of the waiting list then the Officer will contact you to let you know there is a plot to be viewed and you will be asked to respond within 7 days. If no response, then it will be automatically assumed you do not want a plot and will be removed from the waiting list.
If you are offered a plot a potential tenant on the top of the waiting list can refuse an allotment that is available on 2 occasions. On the second occasion they will be placed to the bottom of the list. When they are top of the list again and they refuse the plot that is available, they will be removed off the waiting list for 6 months. The plots that have been viewed are not to be the same one each time.
Allotment Management
All our Allotments are managed by each site Allotment Association Committee, where relevant. They are responsible for the day to day management of your site and any issues should be addressed to them.
