Pelton Parish Council recently received a request from local residents Mr & Mrs Speight to help source bark chippings for school ground improvements. Mr & Mrs Speight have been improving the Pelton Community Primary School grounds whilst the school was closed during the summer holidays and ran out of bark chippings to complete the works in time for the school reopening. The Parish Council contacted Ian Harland, Clean & Green Team Leader at Durham County Council asking for his assistance. Ian arranged for his team to drop off bark chippings at the school for Mr & Mrs Speight to carry on their good work.
