Roseberry Primary School has been carrying out a weekly litter picking after school club over the last school term on a Tuesday. The first week was snowy but that didn’t stop the children from venturing out to litter pick. They’ve been around the local area collecting lots of rubbish which they have categorised when collecting it. Cllr Clare Todd has collated the information which is detailed below. Volunteers from Pelton Parish Council- Cllr Clare Todd, Cllr Stephen Hann and Cllr Joyce Barker, Parish Clerk, a local resident, Enid and Neighbourhood Warden John Smith helped out with the litter picking club on a regular basis.
The children received a visit from Tidy Ted on 24.3.23 who presented the children with a certificate for taking part in tidying up and taking pride in their local environment.
