Pelton Parish Council are proud to announce that Thornton Pocket Park is now open for all to enjoy.
We have already received fantastic feedback from local residents…..
“Wow!! Absolutely loving the park and so are all the children that have visited since the safety fence was taken down . Just wanted to say thanks to everyone at the parish council for listening to me when I originally voiced my devastation at the thought of having no play area here anymore. Also just noticed today the new sign at the beginning of the estate. I hope this encourages everyone to slow down on entering the area . Once again thanks so much everyone I have 3 very, very happy granddaughters.”

We want to celebrate this wonderful addition to Pelton Parish and are holding an Official Launch Event at the park on Saturday 14th September 2019 from 12pm to 2pm.
There will be the following FREE activities for the children–
Glitter Face Painting, Badge Making, Glitter Tattoos, Balloon Modelling and the opportunity to enter our Park Logo Competition (winning prize is a £25.00 National Book Token)
All children will receive a FREE ice cream during the launch event.
