The Parish Council held a meeting on 13th March 2024 to discuss a Poppies Project for 2024. These are the draft minutes of the meeting- Parish Council Poppies Project Meeting – 13.3.24- Draft minutes
The main theme that came out of the meeting was how important it is to work together as a community to work on the project.
The current plan is for the plastic reusable poppies from the Royal British Legion to be installed on the lamp posts along the main streets of Pelton Parish. The neighbouring parishes of Ouston and Urpeth will also be installing poppies on lamp posts and it has been agreed to all work together on the project.
There were also suggestions on other displays that could be created and installed around the parish and this is where ideas and help from community groups and residents would be greatly appreciated.
The next Poppies Project Meeting will be held on 8th May 2024 at 7pm in Pelton Community Centre.
