Pelton Parish VE-Day 80^th Anniversary Service –

to commence at 9.20pm,

on 8^th May 2025 at the

War Memorial, Holy Trinity Church, Pelton.

Dear Resident,

Pelton Parish Council have arranged a ceremony for residents who wish to pay their personal respects on the VE Day 80^th Anniversary in Pelton Parish.

The Service will commence at 9.20pm at the War Memorial site.

There will be 2 Lamp Lights of Peace lit at 9.30pm to be placed on either side of the Memorial. This is in celebration of the ‘light of peace’ that emerged out of the darkness of war.

We will sing the song ‘I Vow To Thee My Country’ at 9.30pm which will be sang around the country at the same time bringing the nation together.
