We have three Electoral Wards within Pelton Parish –

Nomination forms for all of the three wards are available from the Parish Clerk, please call 0191 3701969 or email clerk@peltonparishcouncil.gov.uk if you require one.
There are important deadline dates for the submission of the form and details on the submission process can be found on the Durham County Council (DCC) website.
DCC Electoral Services information
Please read through the guidance notes and/or contact DCC Electoral Services if your require any information about the nomination process.
DCC are providing informal checking of the nomination papers in advance of the formal submission. To take advantage of this, prospective candidates can scan and email their completed forms to electoralservices@durham.gov.uk. They will check the papers and advise if there issues with the forms that would make it invalid on submission.
The Notice of Election will be posted on 25 March 2021. Nomination papers can be formally returned between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm from Friday 26 March 2021 until Thursday 8 April 2021, and must be returned by hand to the address detailed on the Notice of Election.
