GVEC run a local community centre that prepares and serves dinners on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon for the local community and the surrounding areas- anyone is welcome to attend. There are different community activities such as Credit Union, Bingo and Youth Club. GVEC rely on donations from Pelton Parish Council to fund these activities and assist with any ongoing repairs and the purchase of new equipment. Last year the Parish Council donated money to the centre for updated outside play equipment and the purchase of a chiller. There is a FREE fun day on Saturday 17th August between 1pm and 3pm providing entertainment for the children
