PELTON PARISH COUNCIL COMMUNITY EVENT

Saturday 30th October 2021, 1pm to 4pm on Roseberry Playing Fields, off Pelton Lane, Newfield- Car parking is available opposite Roseberry Primary School in the school car park- Google map postcode is DH2 2SU for the school. The car park is opposite the school. The event is taking place where the green area is shown in the map on the following attachment. It is the former Roseberry School site. There will be parking attendants advising where to park and how to access the event if you are not familiar with the locality. Blue Badge holders can park in the Hilda Park Football Club car park. A big thank you to Hilda Park Football Club who are providing the club house and use of the playing fields for free and local musician Colin Lynch who is waiving his fee for the event. Pelton Parish Council have been working with the following organisations to plan the event- Culture for Kids, Grange Villa Enterprise Centre, Holy Trinity Church, Newfield and Pelton Lane Ends Residents Association, Newfield Scout Group, Pelton Community Centre, Pelton Community Primary School, Pelton Methodist Church, Pelton Youth Project, Perkinsville Residents Association & Roseberry Primary School.

Activities to include-

  • The Beamish Museum 1950’s caravan along with toys and games
  • Magician– Mike Donoghue
  • ‘An afternoon of Diamond delights with local act Precious Diamond (Colin Lynch) singing a mix of Neil Diamond classics added with a mix pop anthems from the 80s, the 90s and the now’
  • A visit from the police dogs Jet and Ben and a visit from the local police and fire brigade (vehicles to be viewed, subject to operational requirements)
  • Craft & Food Stalls
  • Carved Pumpkin Competition- Please bring pumpkin already carved to the event. There will not be an opportunity to carve the pumpkin during the event- judging at 3pm
  • Fancy Dress Themed Competition- Prizes available for all ages- judging at 3pm
  • Tombola, Face Painting, crafts, balloon modelling, popcorn, candyfloss, badge making and much more.

Raffle- prizes to include- Williams Garage in Grange Villa have 3 prizes on offer including a health check and oil and filter service with a full valet worth £170.00, Ramside Spa twilight package for 2, Beamish Museum Family Unlimited Annual Pass. Raffle to be drawn at 3.45pm. Below is a list of the raffle prizes

All monies raised from the tombola, raffle and fees paid by the craft and market stall holders will be shared between the following three LOCAL NHS CHARITIES-
