The Parish Council have received this update from the Community Speed Watch Team, Chester-le-Street Police for local information.

‘We did a Community Speed Watch in your area today Monday 14th September 2020 here is the data collected’

We did Ouston Lane as you come into Ouston. 50 vehicles passed..40 were 30 mph or less…9 were between 31 and 34 mph..1 was over 35 mph.

We then did Perkinsville traffic leaving Ouston. 50 Vehicles passed..35 were 30 mph or less..10 were between 31 and 34 mph…5 were over 35 mph.

We then did Pelton as a new request just passed school traffic leaving the village.  50 Vehicles passed 39 were 30 mph or less..10 were between 31 and 34 mph..1 was over 35 mph.

So we found no speeding issue today. your speed signs were being put up by DCC today in the various sites.’
