The Community Speed Watch Team were in Pelton Parish today-  Monday  2nd November 2020 and this is their updated report.

We started at Station Lane Beamish, 20 Vehicles passed 14 were 30 mph or less..3 were between 31 and 34 mph..3 were over 35 mph.

As this road does not have much traffic the figure is small, but on our percentage this puts the road as a speeding issue and will get passed on for further action.

We moved to West Pelton at the cross roads between Stone Row and St Pauls Terrace. 25 Vehicles passed 18 were 30 mph or less..5 were between 31 and 34 mph..2 were over 35 mph, thee figures show no speeding issue here.

We then went to Pelton Station Lane 25 vehicles passed 12 were 30 mph or less..7 were between 31 and 34 mph..6 were over 35 mph. This puts this road as a speeding issue and it will get passed on for further action, we met a number of residents on this site with lots of complaints, we explained what we were doing and how further action would take place, and that we are aware of the speeding traffic.
