We are delighted to let our residents know that Pelton Parish Council has attained the level of Gold Award in the national Local Council Award Scheme. The Gold Award ‘demonstrates that a parish or town council aspires to excellence and is at the forefront of best practice by achieving a high standard in community governance, leadership and performance management.’
There are 103 parish and town councils in County Durham and Cleveland and we are one of only two parish councils who have achieved the Gold Award accreditation.
